CALVIN is arguing with GWEN over an African art piece that she still has on display that was given to her by her ex-boyfriend MIKE.
CALVIN - You said yourself you don't even know why you was with Mike in the first place.
(GWEN slowly sits down.)
CALVIN - And I still can't see what you saw in him. He's an asshole and everyone knows it!
(silence)
CALVIN - I mean, I aint tryin' to tell you how to live your life or decorate your room or whatever, but damn I would think that you would just take this down out of respect for me. Ya know? Without me asking.
(silence)
(CALVIN places it back down where he picked it up.)
CALVIN - I just think its whack is all. But you do what you wanna do.

(CALVIN turns around and faces GWEN who is sitting down.)
CALVIN - Aint you gonna say something?
(silence)
(GWEN looks up and a tear falls from her eye. She grabs her throat and motions that she cannot breathe.)
CALVIN - Gwen...
(GWEN falls head first out of the chair and collapses on the floor.)
CALVIN - Gwen!
(CALVIN rushes to GWEN who has fallen on her stomach. She hit her head on the floor as she collapsed.)
CALVIN - Gwen! Gwen!
(He grabs her and turns her over. Her eyes are closed.)
CALVIN - Oh my God! Oh my God!
(CALVIN tries to pick her up. He sits her up with her back against the chair that she was sitting in. Her head plops down toward her chest.)
CALVIN - Gwen! Oh God!
(He looks around and quickly takes his cell phone off his hip. He fumbles with it as he tries to keep GWEN's head up. He dials 911.)
OPERATOR - Emergency assistance.
CALVIN - God! I need help! My girlfriend passed out!
OPERATOR - Okay sir, is she still passed out right now and is she breathing?
CALVIN - Yeah! She's out! She has lupus!
OPERATOR - Where is she located sir?
CALVIN - Right here on the floor!
OPERATOR - No, I mean what part of town! I need to send an ambulance out to you quick!
CALVIN - Amgis! Amgis College campus!
OPERATOR - Okay! Which building? On campus?
CALVIN - In the dorm! We're in Taylor Square! Room 412!
OPERATOR - I'm dispatching an ambulance right now! Do you want me to stay on the phone with you while they come?
CALVIN - Yes! Yes!
OPERATOR - Okay sir, first of all, is she breathing?
CALVIN - Uh...
(CALVIN tries to check to see if she is breathing.)
CALVIN - Gwen! Can you hear me! Gwen! Oh my God! Oh Jesus!
OPERATOR - Sir, is she breathing!
CALVIN - Yes! Yes! She's breathing.
OPERATOR - Okay si...th...want you t... her head... an...hi...
CALVIN - Maam! You're breaking up! I can't hear you!

CALVIN - What! What?
(CALVIN's phone dies and he loses the connection.)
CALVIN - Hello! Hello! Shit! Shit! Shit!
(He looks down at GWEN's face which is in his arms.)
CALVIN - Gwen! Can you hear me! God! What should I do? What should I...
(He looks around the room.)

CALVIN thinks - Wait... wait... I got it!

The brothers of Iota Phi Theta have called a medic for CENTAUR DWAYNE that passed out on the floor. His girlfriend JENNIFER has come to see what is wrong with him.
SAIFA - Doc, what's wrong with him?
FOSTER - Nothing.
JENNIFER - Nothing! What do you mean nothing?
FOSTER - Well nothing that we can tell here. All his vitals are normal. Actually he is in great shape. I don't know why he's passed out. It doesn't make sense really.
JENNIFER - Well obviously something is wrong!
FOSTER - I know. He hasn't moved. So we just wanted to let you know that we plan on taking him in and checking him out.
JENNIFER - Well aren't you waisting time by coming out here to tell us this?
FOSTER - No maam, this is procedure. We need permission to move the patient since its not a class eleven type situation.
JENNIFER - Class eleven? What the hell! Just move him! Do it!
(JENNIFER rushes past everyone and opens the bedroom door.)
JENNIFER - Gonna have my man pledgin' hard as hell and then... Dwayne... what the hell...
(DWAYNE turns around and sees JENNIFER looking at him. He sees his big brothers looking from the other room and the medics looking as well. He drops the phone and collapses on the floor.)
JENNIFER - What the...
(JENNIFER rushes and picks the phone up.)
JENNIFER - Who is this?
MARK - Jennifer?
JENNIFER - Who is...
MARK - This is Mark. What the heck is goin' on?
(JENNIFER looks at DWAYNE who is now lying motionless on the floor.)
MARK - Hello?
(JENNIFER slams the phone down.)
JENNIFER - Dwayne!
(He doesn't move. SAIFA comes into the room with MALCOLM.)
JENNIFER - Boy get up!
(She kicks his leg. He opens his eyes.)
JENNIFER - Get up!
CENTAUR DWAYNE - Its a miracle! Its a miracle!
(silence)
(SAIFA looks at MALCOLM, then back at DWAYNE.)
JENNIFER - You were faking this whole time?
CENTAUR DWAYNE - Faking? Jenn what are you... where am I?
(silence)
(JENNIFER jumps down on DWAYNE and starts to pound his head with her fists.)
JENNIFER - I'm gonna kill you you moron! You scared me to death! I'm gonna kill you!
CENTAUR DWAYNE - Hey! Hey!
(MALCOLM grabs JENNIFER and tries to pull her off of DWAYNE.)
JENNIFER - You moron!
(The medics are laughing as they come in to grab their equipment. SEAN helps DWAYNE up to his feet.)
SEAN - You okay man?
CENTAUR DWAYNE - I still feel a little dizzy Big Brot...
SEAN whispers - Hey, cut the big brother crap!
(SEAN nods toward the medics who are just leaving.)
FOSTER - Take care guys.
(The two medics close the door behind themselves as they leave.)
(silence)
SAIFA - Jennifer, can we have a few minutes alone with Dwayne?
(JENNIFER looks at DWAYNE.)
JENNIFER - Okay! I'm leaving! But let me say this!
(She walks right up to DWAYNE and get in his face.)
JENNIFER - I can't believe you pulled a stunt like this! Whatever these guys do to you, you deserve! But its gonna be nothing compared to what I do to you when I see you again!

CALVIN carefully places GWEN's head up, leaning her against the chair. Once he is sure she will not fall, he gets up off the floor.
CALVIN thinks - Of course! Why the hell didn't I think of this before! I hope I'm not too late!
(CALVIN rushes into GWEN's bathroom.)
CALVIN - God! I should've thought of this as soon as she fell out!
(CALVIN opens her medicine cabinet. He looks at the many medicine bottles in her cabinet.)
CALVIN - Shit! Which one... which one!
(CALVIN picks up two bottles from the bottom shelf and two bottles from the middle shelf.)
CALVIN reads - Azathioprine...
CALVIN thinks - What the...
CALVIN reads - Hyeroxy.. hydroxychloro... hydroxychloroquinte... chyclophosphamide...
CALVIN thinks - Damn! Which one is for...
(He puts one back and grabs another one.)
CALVIN reads - methyl ... pred... nisolone... methylprednisolone... damnit!
(CALVIN arbitrarily chooses three bottles. He then rushes back out to GWEN who is still passed out.)
CALVIN - Okay baby... hold on! I got something to help! Some prednisone or something and something else!
(He kneels down beside her and tries to open her mouth.)
CALVIN thinks - Oh wait... water!
(He pops up and runs into her kitchen. He grabs a cup and fills it with water. He then rushes back, spilling water as he hurries.)
CALVIN - Okay, here we go Gwen!
(He carefully places her head back and tries to open her mouth with one hand. He then starts to pour a little water in her mouth and takes the first pill out of the bottle.)

(AKINA takes a deep breath.)
AKINA - My boyfriend... Eric... was supposedly brought in here... he was a hospital patient at...
SEARGENT FORBES - Oh wait, I just signed him in.
AKINA - You did! Where is he?
SEARGENT FORBES - Hold on.
(She opens a big book that is on the desk in front of her.)
SEARGENT FORBES - Uh... yeah, I signed in the patient. He had on scrubs when they brought him in.
AKINA - Where is he now!
SEARGENT FORBES - Processing. He had to be placed in a special unit.
AKINA - A special... why!
SEARGENT FORBES - Maam, he's being booked on rape charges.
AKINA - What!
TRACEY - Rape charges? But he was just in the hospital!
SEARGENT FORBES - He tried to rape someone in the hospital.
AKINA - What! That's a lie! That's a bold face lie! Where is he! I need to speak to him now! That's a lie!
SEARGENT FORBES - You can verify the whole entire story if you want...
(SEARGENT FORBES points across the rom.)
SEARGENT FORBES - ...the girl who reported him as raping her is sitting right over there.
AKINA - What!
(AKINA, TRACEY, HOLLY and RENEE turn around and see JESSICA speaking with two officers.)
AKINA - Oh my God!
(AKINA rushes toward JESSICA.)
AKINA - You bitch! What have you done?
(One of the officers quickly stands up and grabs AKINA. She stands between AKINA and JESSICA.)
SEARGENT TINNEY - Hey! Hey! Excuse me maam! What's going on here!
AKINA - She accused my boyfriend of rape and she's lying!
(AKINA looks past the Seargent and at JESSICA.)
AKINA - You know you're lying! Eric never touched you!
(JESSICA doesn't respond but turns to the other officer sitting with her.)
JESSICA - See what I mean? They're all crazy and out to get me. This is the girl that I've been telling you about! The one who keeps threatening me!
CAPTAIN WILLIAMS - We'll get to the bottom of it Jessica.
AKINA - Threatening you?
JESSICA - You told me to stay away from you or else! Didn't you say that?
AKINA - But I didn't...
JESSICA - And Eric keeps calling me and coming by and I told him to stop! Why won't you guys just leave me alone!
RENEE thinks - What? This is some bull!
AKINA - Leave you alone? Every time I turn my back you're trying to get back with Eric!
JESSICA - I don't want Eric! Especially now! I jus want to be left alone!
(JESSICA starts to cry into her hands and turns her face toward CAPTAIN WILLIAMS who is sitting next to her. She buries her head into his chest and he places his arm around her.)
SEARGENT TINNEY - Maam, if you can just step into this room, we can all talk and get to the bottom of this.
AKINA - She's lying! She is lying through her teeth!
SEARGENT TINNEY - We can get to the bottom of the story if you would just follow me into this room.
TRACEY - Akina, go.
(AKINA turns toward her girls. She had forgotten they were with her.)
AKINA - Can my girls come with me?
SEARGENT TINNEY - Yes. Sure, if that makes you more comfortable.
AKINA - Okay.
(AKINA turns to follow the Seargent.)
RENEE - This is crazy! What in the world is goin' on?
AKINA - All I know is she's not gonna get away with this! When this is all said and done, she is goin' down!

SAM opens the door for JENNIFER. She turns toward him as she walks out.
JENNIFER - Yall should kick his ass!
SAM - You think?
JENNIFER - Don't hut him... just hurt him.
(SAM winks. JENNIFER leaves. DWAYNE's heart is beating very fast.)
(silence)
(DWAYNE looks around at the brothers who are in the room. SAIFA, MALCOLM, SEAN, SAM.)
SAIFA - Dwayne, sit down.
CENTAUR DWAYNE - Big brother, let me explain.
SAIFA - Sit down Dwayne.
SAM - You need to get your ass kicked for that shit! Where's my shit.
SAIFA - Sam shut up!
MALCOLM - Naw dude, Sam is right! Your little we are the world save the children speech is tired right now! I thought we were gonna get suspended over this nigga! What the fuck!
SAIFA - Shut up and sit down! Everybody!
(silence)
(Everyone sits down.)
SAIFA - Dwayne, I just wanna know why. What would make you do something so stupid? Do you realize what could've happened here?
MALCOLM - Hold up! Hold up! I don't give a fuck why he did this shit! Bottom line is this shit is fucked up!
(MALCOLM stands up.)
MALCOLM - We aint gonna sit here and have a meeting of the minds!
SAIFA - No! What we're gonna do is get to the bottom of this shit! And you should be the last person talking shit right now! He was with you when he did this so what were you doing that made him think he had to lie to us the way he did?
MALCOLM - I told you I wasn't doing shit! You gonna believe this nigga over your frat?
(SAIFA looks at DWAYNE.)
MALCOLM - I'm tired of this shit and I'm tired of doing things your way! That's the shit that aint working! From now on we're doin' this my way! We already got rid of one punk ass dude tryin' to be an Iota. I say we get rid of him too!
(MALCOLM points at DWAYNE.)

CENTAUR DWAYNE - What?

(The door opens.)
DR. MWATSUMI - Brothers is everything okay? I was getting coffee right downstairs and waiting, and you brothers were taking a long while. How is everything?

SEARGENT TINNEY leads AKINA and her soros into a small conference room.
SEARGENT TINNEY - I'll be right back okay? Just calm down. I have to get some paper and a pen and I'll get waters for everyone. Just calm down, and we'll get to the bottom of this story okay?
AKINA - Thanks.
(The Seargent leaves.)
AKINA - This is some crap! Did you see her! Kissing up to the cops and all!
TRACEY - Man, she is a trip!
RENEE - Yeah, she is a mess for real. What are you gonna do?
AKINA - The truth is gonna come out. And when it does, they can lock her lying ass up and throw away the key!
RENEE - What I don't understand is how he can be accused of rape when he was in the hospital? I'm so confused.
AKINA - I told you, Jessica is crazy and out of her mind. I don't put nothing past her!
(The Seargent comes back with a few bottled waters and a pad and pen.)
SEARGENT TINNEY - Okay, I know you all have been traumatized by what has been happening. We don't really know what happened either. But we just wanted to ask a couple of questions of the girlfriend, and I take it that is you?
AKINA - Yeah.
SEARGENT TINNEY - Good. Alright, how long have you been dating Eric?
AKINA - We've been together for about a year now.
SEARGENT TINNEY - And you know that he used to date the female in question.
AKINA - Yeah, I know about that.
SEARGENT TINNEY - Do you know the reason of their separation?
AKINA - Yes. She is way too clingy. She is very jealous, very possesive, and doesn't like to let go of things.
(The Seargent writes all that down.)
AKINA - When can I talk to Eric?
SEARGENT TINNEY - He's coming down here now.
(She doesn't look up from her pad.)
SEARGENT TINNEY - Has Eric ever been violent with you at all?
AKINA - Am I on trial or something? Eric didn't do this! He wouldn't hurt a fly! This is ridiculous! You should be locking her up and letting Eric go!
SEARGENT TINNEY - I'm sorry maam, just following procedure. That's all the questions you have to answer. If you want to talk to Eric now, you can. You can follow me but your friends will have to stay here.
RENEE - Its okay Akina, go ahead.
TRACEY - Yeah, we'll be here.
(AKINA quickly gets up and follows the officer out.)
AKINA - This is like a bad dream! I can't believe we're even going through this!
SEARGENT TINNEY - Hopefully this will end for you all very soon and you can get back to school and life as normal.
(She leads AKINA into a larger room with a steel table.)
SEARGENT TINNEY - You can sit right here.
AKINA - What's gonna happen now?
SEARGENT TINNEY - I can bring your boyfriend in. I'll have to stay in here with you though, and whatever guard escorts him in will have to stay with him.
AKINA - Why! He didn't do anything! Why the maximum security!
SEARGENT TINNEY - Do you want to see him or not?
(silence)
SEARGENT TINNEY - Just have a seat and he'll be right in.
(AKINA stays quiet as she sits down. The Seargent stands behind her.)
AKINA thinks - Why is this happening?
(The door opens and ERIC walks in the room followed by another police officer.)
ERIC - Akina!
AKINA - Baby!
(AKINA starts to cry as she leaps from her chair and into ERIC's arms.)

(CALVIN drops some of the water on GWEN's face as he tries to pour it in her mouth.)
GWEN - Hey!
(He pours water in her mouth and tries to open one of the medicine bottles. GWEN starts to choke and cough.)
CALVIN - Gwen! Gwen are you okay!
(She continues coughing and blinking her eyes.)
CALVIN - Gwen!
GWEN - Wh... what... are...
CALVIN - Don't try and talk, I got an ambulance on the way. Just relax and breathe!
GWEN - An ambulance?
(She looks around and sees that she is sitting on the floor and that there is water running down her face.)
GWEN - What happened?
CALVIN - You passed out all of a sudden and I called...
(She sees the open medicine bottle.)
GWEN - What were you doing?
(She grabs the bottle and looks at which one it is.)
CALVIN - I didn't know what to do and you were out cold so I thought I'd give you some of your medicine.
GWEN - You what!
(CALVIN looks confused.)
CALVIN - Well I thought I would...
GWEN - Calvin you just can't pick a bottle of medicine and give it to me! Are you nuts?
CALVIN - I didn't know what to do!
(GWEN starts to get up off the floor.)
GWEN - Do you know what could've happened if you had given me this?
CALVIN - What was I supposed to do? I called an ambulance first.
GWEN - You called a... good Lord!
CALVIN - What? Was that wrong too?
GWEN - I don't need a doctor. I need to go to bed.
CALVIN - Gwen, you passed out on the floor. You hit your head.
(GWEN feels her head.)
CALVIN - You need to get checked out.
GWEN - I'm fine Calvin.
CALVIN - No you aren't. What's wrong with seeing a doctor?
GWEN - Nothing if you're sick. I'm not sick.
CALVIN - Well what do you call it?
GWEN - I don't call an ambulance.
CALVIN - They're on the way Gwen.
GWEN - Call em back and cancel.
CALVIN - I can't!
GWEN - I'm not seeing them.
CALVIN - Gwen what is wrong with you! You scared me half to death and you need to see a doctor! What if I hadn't poured that water in your mouth? What if you were driving and this happened! You have lupus and you need to get treated!
GWEN - This aint got nothin' to do with...
(There is a banging on the door.)
MEDIC - Doctors! Open up!
(GWEN and CALVIN look at one another.)
